Lloyd Wayne Krantz, 59 of Moneta, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Friday, July 14, 1955 in Bedford Co., a son of Mary Anna Updike Krantz of Bedford who survives and the late Floyd Allen Krantz. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Jo Krantz and his mother-in-law, Rachel Spradlin. He was an Installer with C & R Doors. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Robin Lynn Spradlin Krantz; a son, Robert A. Krantz of Moneta; two daughters, Ashley M. Krantz of Roanoke, Jeanette L. Lacy & husband, Jack of Moneta; four grandchildren, Brianna Hunter, Robert Krantz, Dixie Krantz, Maddlynn Diamond; two brothers, Floyd Allen Krantz, Jr. of Lynchburg, Donald Krantz of Bedford; two sisters, Shirley Saunders of Manchester, TN, Sharon Burton of Bedford; father-in-law & step-mother-in-law, Robert Spradlin & wife, Patsy of Moneta. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford. Interment will follow in Diamond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 PM until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
