Lucille Frances Robertson Scott, 95, of Bedford, VA, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Bedford County Nursing Home. She was born on Wednesday, March 31, 1915 in Bedford County, VA, a daughter of the late Letcher Filmore Robertson and Minnie Blanche Kirby Robertson . She was also preceded in death by her husband, Prentiss Glenwood Scott, Sr., a daughter, Florence S. Lambeth, an two sisters, Winifred R. Fowler and Mary R. Calsetta. She was a retired employee at Rubatex Corporation, and was a member of Quaker Baptist Church. She is survived two sons, Prentiss G. "Buddy" Scott, Jr. of Bedford, and J.D. Scott of Moneta; two daughters, Irene S. Bays of Moneta, Shirley S. Manning of Hayesville, NC; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Virginia Memorial Park with Rev. David Timma officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
