Isabelle Corbitt Hopkins, 86 of Bedford, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. She was born on Wednesday, September 5, 1928 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late William Richard Corbitt and Ollie Ruth Fuqua Corbitt . She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Guy Hopkins and a grandson, Wesley Hopkins. She was retired owner & operator of Otterburn in Assisted Living and was a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her sons, Guy Richard Hopkins of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mark Hopkins of Bedford; daughters, Ramona Dobbins of Hinton, WV, Vickie Muse of Goode, Robin Reynolds of Bedford, Melanie Hopkins of Versallies, KYas well as nine grandchildren & four great grandchildren. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Bedford Presbyterian Church, 105 West Main Street, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. John T. Salley officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 4 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
