Lois Scruggs Willis, 85 of Lynch Station, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on Friday, July 5, 1929 in Campbell County, a daughter of the late James Scruggs and Bertha Frazier Scruggs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Fred Willis She was a machine operator at Schrader-Bridgeport. Surviving is her son, Larry Brummett & wife, Florence of Lynch Station; grandson, Ralph Brummett & wife, Donna of Lynch Station; great-grandson, Christopher Brummett & wife, Megen of Lynch Station; two great great grandchildren; his sister, Helen Marsh & well as two brothers, Aubrey Scruggs & George Scruggs. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Union Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mike Miller officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9 until 10:30 AM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston and other times at the home of her son, Larry.
