Obituary of Charles Junior Waller

Rev. Charles Junior Waller, 75 of Rocky Mount, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Franklin Memorial Hospital. He was born on Wednesday, October 11, 1939 in Fries, VA, a son of the late Ed Waller and Lillian Bobbitt Waller. He was the Pastor of Gretna Church of God of Prophecy at the time of his passing. Surviving is his wife, Paige Wampler Waller; two daughters, Kathy W. Zimbro & husband, Rockie of Staunton, Bonnie W. Hardy & husband, Tommy of Gretna; his grandchildren, Melissa Rankin & husband, Justin, Wendell Zimbro; a sister, Mary Hyatt of Fries; a brother, Earl Waller of Galax; his sisters-in-law, Jane Newman, Dellarhea Morriss, Ella Mae Greene, Hallie Chinualt, Becky Thorton; his adopted daughters, Debbie Freeman, Barbara Gravely, Becky Moss & Jeannie Martin as well as three great grandchildren. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorials to consider Gretna Church of God of Prophecy, C/O Marie Osborne, 111 Banley's Street, Gretna, VA 24557. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 6 until 8 PM at the Gretna Church of God of Prophecy. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11:00 am at Gretna Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Rev. Waller will then be taken to the Fries Church of God of Prophecy where a visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 12 until 2 PM with a funeral service will follow at 2 PM with Rev. Jerry Schall, Rev. Cathy Payne, Rev. George Freeman and Rev. Rocky Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Fries Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
