Obituary of Betty Cole Lineberry

Betty C. Lineberry, 82 of Goode, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother & grandmother to her family. She was born on December 3, 1932 in Suffolk, England, a daughter of the late Owen Cole & Muriel Watts Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ethan W. Lineberry, her daughter, Tracy N. Lineberry and a sister, Barbara Harris. She loved to read, knit & watch her hummingbirds. She is survived by her sons, Trevor C. Lineberry & wife, Debbie of Moneta; Rixey O. Lineberry & wife, Jodie of Bedford; grandchildren, Jared Lineberry & wife, Krystle, Jordan Lineberry, Tara Troutman & husband, Jeremia, Brooke Weatherington & husband, Grant, Jessica Rorer & husband, Stephen; great grandchildren, Kaylin, Bryson, Nolan, Ellis, Pierce & Kendrix; a sister, Gwynne Williams; sister-in-law, Delores Lineberry; brother-in-law, Chris Lineberry & wife, Teresa; several nieces & nephews and her little companion, CoCo. The family would like to thank Dr. Dwight Oldham and the nursing staff on the Oncology floor at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital for their care and compassion. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, 2nd floor, Bethesda, Maryland 20814 or the American Cancer Society, 2050 Langhorne Road, Suite 201, Lynchburg, VA 24501. A funeral service will be conducted from the graveside at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11 AM by Rev. Randy Krantz. There is no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
