Haywood Lewis Crouch, 74 of Huddleston, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Tuesday, March 5, 1940 in Bedford County, a son of the late Warren S. Crouch and Margaret Holdren Crouch. He was retired from AT & T and was a member of Mentow Baptist Church. He was also a U. S. Navy Veteran. Surviving is his wife, Sharon A. Crouch; two daughters, Anna C. Ferguson & husband, Jake of Greensboro, NC, Kathrine F. Upton of Navarre, FL; a son, David Howard Crouch of Huddleston; six grandchildren, Brittany, Michael & Olivia Crouch, Kollin Upton, Piper & Micah Garlock; a brother, Nelson Crouch of Bedford; a sister, Velma Davis of Bedford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Mentow Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Soult officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday beginning at 12 noon and until the time of the service. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
