Zetta Atkinson Barton, 82 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. She was born on Thursday, June 2, 1932 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Charles Atkinson and Elizabeth Ann Atkinson Atkinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oliver G. Barton.
Surviving is her daughter, Connie Marie Brown; sons, Larry Wayne Barton & wife, Betty Jean, Clyde Wayne Barton & wife, Karen; her grandchildren, Belinda Marie Creasy (Landon Wilson), James "Jymmy" Creasy (Elicia Dickson), Lacinda Lynn Barton (Brandon Yetter), Melissa Harrison, Robert Brown, Cassandra Barton Catron, Nicole Barton Catron; great-grandchildren, Mariah Nicole Williams, Alyssa "Miranda" Wilson, Shyann Skyler Yetter, Brandon Michael Yetter, Jr., Nicholas Allen Brown, Akylah Madalyn Bryant.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the graveside at Montvale Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:30 until 12:30 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
