Sandra Mae Wilson Harris, 70 of Goode, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015. She was born December 31, 1944, the youngest daughter of the late Hilary William Wilson and Ruby Pearl Laughlin Wilson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh “Bo” Wilson and Charles “C. L.“ Wilson and two sisters, Joyce Owens and Jean Newman.
She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Steve Allen Harris; a daughter, Angela Harris Schmitt & husband Bob of Goode; a son, Scott Allen Harris of Bedford; two grandchildren, Dakota Allen Harris and Hailey Michelle Harris of Bedford; two brothers, Frank E. Wilson & wife, Myra of Roanoke; Elmer L. Wilson & wife, Peggy of Lynchburg.
The family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 9702 Gayton Road #110, Richmond, VA 23238. Tel 804-955-4910.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 2 PM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford. Interment will follow in the Rock Pike Baptist Church Cemetery in Goode. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM at the funeral home.
