Ricky Edward Updike, 60 a longtime resident of Gretna Healthcare Center passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born March 30, 1954 in Bedford County, a son of the late Gerald H. Updike and Lois (Katie) Overstreet Updike. He is survived by a son, Jason Updike & his wife, Angie; a daughter, Delores Hatcher; a brother, Reggie Updike & his wife, Linda; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be private and are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
