My heart broke after a quick internet search found an obituary. I have so many memories with this sweet man, stories of his life and the life of his family, adventures we would take, trying my best to cook something special for him, recreating his mother's recipe, or his wife's because he just missed them so much. He was like my grandpa, and he'd say I his granddaughter, especially since we both didn't have either. The last couple years it was hard for me to see him, but during our last visit he asked me to stay. Looking back maybe the thought that this would be the last time we would see each other was there. I will always miss and love him.
To Bryan, Dean, and the rest of the Wright family. I'm so sorry for your loss, and the losses that your family has had to endure. Your dad was a special man, and he'd talk about all of you so much. He was a proud daddy of all the accomplishments of his son's, and how much he loved all of you. God bless you, and I will keep all of you in my prayers.

There are few people who come into our lives who touch our hearts and our spirit in a way that will never leave us. For those of us who knew my Father-In-Law, Lewis Wright, we were touched by his kindness and blessed beyond measure with his love. Many people could tell story after story of the unselfish, unconditional love he gave to his family and friends. His compassion went even further for the animals he met and cared for. And any stranger on the street was sure to feel the warmth of his soul through his kind eyes, bright smile, and his helping hand. I am forever blessed by his love and grateful for our time together. I appreciate the caregivers who held his hand when he needed it. Heaven received an angel when the gates opened wide for him to walk in with a smile on his face and a song in his heart.
