William Edward Orange, 75 of Montvale, VA passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the home of his daughter. He was born on Monday, October 29, 1934 in Bedford Co., a son of the late Ollie Edison Orange and Annie Odessa Creasy Orange. He was a retired employee of Hooker Furniture and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Patsy Marie Boothe Orange; a daughter, Vickie O. Friend & husband, Alan of Vinton, a granddaughter, Anita Kay Pagans & husband, Jeremy Wayne of Vinton; two great grandchildren, Emerald Nichole Pagans and Carter Wayne Pagans, both of Vinton; a sister, Nellie Marie Burkes of Vinton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Larry Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call Friday after 12 noon and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
