William Taylor "Tate" Easter, 62 of Goode, VA passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born on Thursday, February 26, 1953 in Richmond, a son of the late Marcel Lumon Easter and Catherine Mabel Worley Easter.
He was a self-employed brick mason and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Rickman Easter; a daughter, Melissa Easter of Bedford; son, William Taylor Easter II of Maine; Step-Son, Wayne House of Front Royal; Brother, Michael Easter of Bolling Green, Steve Easter of North Carolina; Sisters, Cynthia Donley of Farmville, Diane Easter of Utah, Donna McKillop of Ashburn.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Phillip Kelley & Clyde Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Land - Mount of Olives Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday after 1 PM and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
