James Forrest Kasey, 88 of Moneta, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Saturday, May 28, 1927 in Roanoke, a son of the late James Emory Kasey and Velma Meador Kasey.
He was Owner & Operator of Kasey Business Service and was a former member of Moneta Ruritan Club & attended Radford Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Evans Kasey; son, Stephen Forrest Kasey of Moneta; daughters, Lucinda Kasey Welsh & son in law, Mark of Roanoke, Glenda Kasey Blanks & son in law, Dan of Lynchburg; granddaughters, Sarah Beth Welsh & Grace Lauren Welsh both of Roanoke.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Karl Hofheinz officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
