Americo Sabbatini, 93 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Thursday, August 10, 1916 in Corea, Argentina, a son of the late Ceasare Sabbatini and Ida Rossi Sabbatini. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Noll Sabbatini. He was a retired foreman with the New York City Transit System, was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was also a U. S. Navy Veteran having served in the World War II. He is survived by a niece, Virginia Hourigan; a nepehw, Gerald Murphy; close friends, Pete & Donna Kirby and his caregiver, Dora Mays. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Vernon DeLong officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday beginning at 10 AM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford
