I still have half of my heart missing. You were my best friend, lover, hero, and soul mate. I'll love you forever in my heart. Not a day goes by without you in my thoughts.

I am sending prayers for comfort at this time.. Mark brought his bike to our little back yard go kart track to shake it down.. It was a very fun evening, one I will never forget. In the short time I knew him, I could tell he was a great guy...

I met Mark in the late 70's racing flat track at the Franklin County Motor Speedway, in Scruggs Virginia. Billed as the fastest 1/4 mile dirt track on the east coast and he helped make that statement true. We spent almost every summer Saturday night together at the track for many years. Mark was a fierce competitor and very talented rider.
My last race at that track was in 1980 and was the last time I saw or heard from Mark until last summer when he walked into my office in Harrisonburg VA. I can say I sure was happy to see him. We kept in touch and had planned to go to the AMA Grand National race in Hagerstown MD, unfortunately the race was rained out. We made plans to get together this summer & do some riding but one thing then another and that ride never came.
I always knew Mark as a lover of life, fun and good times but I remember him most as a kind and gentle spirit, honest and dependable. There are no greater words I know to speak about a man. He will be missed by all that knew him.
