Frank Cooper, 80 of Huddleston, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Virginia Veterans Care Center. He was born on Sunday, January 13, 1935 in Irvington, NJ, a son of the late Frank Cooper and Katherine Fairbanks Cooper. He was a retired Dock Builder and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Grace M. Cooper; his sons, Frank Cooper & wife, Sharon, Chris Cooper all of Bricktown, NJ, Tom Cooper of Moneta; his daughter, Diane Wirth & husband, Kenny of Pottsville, NJ; his step-son, Peter Beckman & wife, Paula of Roanoke; his step-daughters, Brenda McGrath & husband, Garry, Barbara Zion & husband, Bobby all of Moneta, Lisa Cutler & husband, Ken of Bedford, Laura Dellis & husband, Rodney of Huddleston as well as twenty grandchildren & two great grandchildren.
The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Agape Center, P. O. Box 573, Moneta, VA 24121.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Palestine Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Holy Land - Mount of Olives Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 AM until the time of the service at Palestine Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
