Evelyn Fogle Wires, 91 of Bedford, VA passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, October 16, 1918 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late William H. Fogle and Mary Jane Swain Fogle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alfred Wires; two brothers, James Fogle, Stanley Fogle and a sister Cecilia Fogle. She was a communicant of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. Surviving are four daughters, Constance Lowery of Montvale; Carol Loveless of Wilmington, DE; Patricia Millius of New Castle, DE; Kathy Guthrie of Bedford; a son, Richard Wires of Bedford; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with Father Salvador Anonuevo officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
