Geneva Mae Cassidy Huff, 77 of Gretna, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at her residence. She was born on Thursday, April 13, 1933 in Bedford Co., a daughter of the late Oscar Cassidy and Bessie Myrtle Tuck Cassidy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Major Howard Huff, Sr. Surviving are two daughters, Beulah Mae Roach of Huddleston, Joann Roach of Gretna; two sons, Major H. Huff, Jr., Albert J. Huff, both of Gretna; four sisters, Sarah Cassidy of Roanoke; Peggy Cassidy, Margaret Cassidy, both of Moneta; Mary Ayers of Gretna; three brothers, Sam Cassidy of Roanoke, Charlie Cassidy, Flavius Cassidy, both of Moneta; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at the Tuck Family Cemetery, Moneta, on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call Thursday after 12 noon and the family will receive friends 6 until 8 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
