Ella Mae Alldredge Elmore, 83 of Thaxton, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. She was born on Saturday, April 2, 1932, a daughter of the late Lewis H. Alldredge and Susie Brown Alldredge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Craig Elmore and four brothers. She was retired from the Rubatex Corporation.
She is survived by her son, Roger C. Elmore & wife, Vicki of Thaxton; two grandsons, Timothy Elmore, Jeffrey Elmore; a granddaughter, Amy McRoberts; her sister, Sarah Watson as well as three great grandchildren & three great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Kyle Dooley officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM and until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
