Bobbie Johnston Davidson, 78 of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Campbell Rest Home. She was born on Wednesday, August 4, 1937 in Longview, Mississippi, a daughter of the late James Edward Johnston, Sr. and Louisa Cummins Johnston. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Durly Davidson.
She was a member of Word of Life Evangelical Church and is survived by her sons, Terry Davidson & wife, Pattie of Bedford, Jerry Davidson & wife, Wendy of Charleston, SC, Dale Davidson & wife, Carina of San Antonio, TX; her brother, Clifton Johnston; her sister, Mattye Beard; her grandsons, Joshua Davidson & wife, Casey, Andrew Davidson & girlfriend, Stefanie Sibert as well as her great grandchildren, Larkin & Stella Davidson; her step-grandchildren, Dakota Mason & Christian Wensjoe and lifelong friend, Deda Bohannon of Forest.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. David Whitehurst & Rev. Michael Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Suck Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 4 until 6 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
