Ellan Lareen Carter Amos, 79 of Thaxton, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was born on Tuesday, July 21, 1936 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late William D. Carter and Pink Robertson Carter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lentford Amos.
She was a member of Cool Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by her son, Jessee James Amos & his wife, Christina of Roanoke.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Larry Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Parker Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
