Sally "Frances" Stevens, 82 of Huddleston, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2016.
She was born on Tuesday, August 15, 1933, a daughter of the late Allen Dowdy and Lillie Hackworth Dowdy of Huddleston.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry C. Stevens and a daughter, Patricia Roberts. She is survived by her daughters, Susan S. Tuck & husband, Olan R. Tuck and Sandra S. Orange all of Huddleston; six grandchildren: Calvin C. Patterson, Jr., Mary Patterson of Huddleston; Daniel S. Tuck & wife Alison of Lynchburg; Justin N. Tuck of Huddleston; Corey & Corbin Stevens & two great grandchildren: Daisy and Malcolm.
She is also survived by a sister, Reva Melton of Lynch Station; son-in-law, Jesse Roberts; several nieces & nephews and best friend, Joyce Burnette.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Wayne Murphy and Rev. Kenneth Lafon officiating. Interment will follow in Leftwich Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 3 pm prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
