Obituary of Steven Lewis Wright

Steven Lewis Wright passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Lewis Gale Medical Center. He was born on February 5, 1985. Steven is survived by the joy of his life, his loving son, Keane JaeKob Wright. He is also survived by his loving and devoted dad, Edward Lewis Wright and his mother, Sylvia Hickman King; his nana Mary T. Hickman; the mother of his son, Samantha Shivers; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, including his lifetime friend, Isaac Wheaton. Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Al & Gracie Wright and E.O. Hickman and an infant sister, Jessica Leigh Wright. Steven enjoyed football, basketball, baseball and NASCAR. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.. Steven endured many health problems over the last several years. Due to his health problems, Steven wanted to help other people and did so by being an organ donor. There are no words to express the great love and joy Steven gave to his son, dad, mom, family and friends. Our hearts are broken, but we know he is in Heaven with his grandparents and other family members. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 17, 2016, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Services are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Bedford.
