Kenneth Burford Overstreet, Sr., 65 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. He was born on Sunday, February 4, 1951 in Bedford County, a son of the late Joseph William Overstreet and Madeline Lacy Overstreet.
He was employed at Rubatex Corporation for forty-two years.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Sherry Lipscomb Overstreet; his sons, Kenenth B. Overstreet, Jr. & wife, Amy, Joseph D. Overstreet & fiancee, Tina; his daughters, Rebecca L. Overstreet, Sarah D. Overstreet & Annette Roberts; his grandchildren, Hunter & Mackenzie Overstreet as well as his brother, Donald J. Overstreet & wife, Sue & their daughter, Lisa Thornhill & husband, Jack and their son, Matthew.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at Nicopolis United Methodist Church with Rev. Vernon Delong & Rev. Jerry Viemeister officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM at Nicopolis United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
