Joy Wilkerson Witt, 74 of Bedford, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was born on Thursday, January 16, 1936 in Bedford Co., a daughter of the late Elmo Johnny Wilkerson and Emma Victoria DeWitt Wilkerson. She was a the longtime Barber at the Elks National Home having just recently retired. Surviving is her husband, Talmyr Dean Witt; a sister, Mary W. Bondurant of Lynchburg, her four legged friends, LuLu & Rose. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Wayne Murphy and Rev. Fred Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Monday after 12 noon and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
