Edith Thomas Poindexter, 74 of Bedford, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, January 14, 2010. She was born on Thursday, March 28, 1935 in Bedford Co., a daughter of the late Glover Stonewall Thomas and Pauline Calloway Thomas. At an early age, she professed her belief in Christ and became a member of the Bold Branch Baptist Church whre she remained a loyal and faithful member throughtout her life. Surviving is her husband, Choice Daniel Poindexter of Bedford. She also leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Donna T. Cabler (James) of Bedford; Stacey L. Poindexter of Waldorf, MD; a son, Danny L. Thomas of South Bend, IN; two sisters, Inez Hairston (James) of Suffolk; Ruby Thomas of Bedford; a brother, William Thomas (Evelyn) of Bedford; three grandchildren, James A. Cabler III, Amari Poindexter and Jazzlyn Thomas, loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Old Bold Branch Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Calvin Price officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston
