Arthur Lee McClanahan, known as "Art" or "Lee", 65 of Moneta, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 23, 1950 in Fayette County, WV, a son of the late Ray Arthur McClanahan and Gladys Lee Goddard McClanahan. He was a machinist with Redco Machine Shop and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Donna Gwinn McClanahan; a son, Brian McClanahan of Moneta; his daughters, Jodi Lee Bates and husband, John of Bedford, Kemberlee McClanahan of Moneta; his grandchildren, Jackson Lee Cox, Gracie Mae Cox, Tommy James Cox, Sophia Rayne & an expected granddaughter; a brother, Danny R. McClanahan of Elyria, OH; a sister, Patti Hodovanic of Copley, OH and numerous other family members.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the chapel with Rev. Jackie Carver officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 20, 2015 in the Goddard Family Cemetery in Meadow Bridge, WV on Backus Mountain. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
