Betty June Collins Crouch Scaggs, 75 of Vinton, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. She was born on Thursday, August 7, 1941 in Pinson, TN, a daughter of the late Joseph Collins and Bertha Sanford Collins Upton. She was also preceded in death by her first husband of thirty years, Calvin H. Crouch. She was a member of Grace & Truth Baptist Church, loved gospel music, Elvis and her special little dog, Sweetie.
She is survived by her husband, Dallas B. Scaggs; her son, Tony Crouch & wife, Cindy of Vinton; daughter, Tammy Reed & husband, Matthew of Bedford; beloved grandchildren, Adam, Kayla, Braden, Heather & Drew; step-daughters, Suzette Escoe & husband. Mike, Renada Nicely & husband, Howard, Melinda Underwood & husband, Danny, Cindy Hukill & husband, Woody; her brother, Bobby Collins & wife, Viola; sisters, Diane Post & husband, Jim, Brenda Upton, Nita Dempsey & husband, Freddie as well as numerous step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Steve Lamb & Rev. Jesse Bass officiating. Interment will follow in Palestine Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
