Alma Crouch Morgan, 86 of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She was born on Wednesday, January 8, 1930 in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Delbert J. Crouch and Ada McBride Crouch. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. Morgan.
She was retired from Bedford Weaving Mill and was member of Bedford Baptist Tabernacle.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice O. Holdren of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Cynthia G. Swain of Bedford, Judith L. Billings of High Point, NC; sons, Ronald D. Holdren of High Point, NC, Gary W. Holdren of High Point, NC; her sister, Kathryn C. Pruitt of Lexington, NC; her brother, Riley L. Crouch of Huddleston as well as eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Palestine Church Cemetery with Elder Ricky St. Clair and Elder Darrell Swain officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 7 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
