Dan E. Laughlin, 63 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 after a long battle with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was born on Saturday, October 10, 1953 in Bedford County, a son of the late Warren G. Laughlin and Edith Mayhew Laughlin.
Dan worked with his father in his business, Warren's TV & Radio for many years and went on to be a long time employee of Witt's Wholesale. He was an avid fan of UVA football, never missing a home game until his illness slowed him. He was also a martial arts enthusiast.
He is survived by his sisters, Sharon Laughlin of Bedford, Faye L. Hurst & husband, Lynn of Roanoke and a very special beloved niece, Allison Hurst of Medford, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Doorways Hospitality House, 612 E. Marshall Street, Richmond, VA 23219.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm in the chapel.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
