Danny Reid Ferguson, 74 of Vinton and originally from Huddleston passed away Monday, October 24, 2016. He was born on Saturday, May 9, 1942 in Bedford County, a son of the late B. Clay Ferguson and Dorothy Ferguson Lemon. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Winfred Ferguson.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie Trettner & husband, Tim; brother, Billy Grey Ferguson & wife, Shirley; sisters, Barbara Mayhew & husband, Leonard, Brenda Howard & husband, Gene; a grandson, Nicholas Trettner; a special step-granddaughter, Kayla and his former wife & special caregiver, Carol Ferguson as well as many nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the graveside at 3 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
