Howard Grayson Witt, Sr., 55 of Bedford, VA passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at his resdience. He was born on Wednesday, February 23, 1955 in Lynchburg, VA, a son of Charles G. Witt and Marie Zimmerman Witt of Bedford, who survive. He was a self-employed logger and was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by two sons, Howard G. Witt, Jr. of Bedford, Anthony C. Witt & wife, Dana of Southport, NC; two brothers, Michael D. Witt & wife, Loni of Lynchburg, Mark D. Witt of Bassett and a grandson, Mason T. Witt. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Virginia Memorial Park on on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Rev. John T. Salley officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
