Roger Lewis Saul, 73 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. He was born on Wednesday, July 21, 1943 in Botetourt County, a son of Vivian Moore Saul of Bedford who survives and the late Harvey Saul. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Leslie Jane Saul Smith.
He was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Joyce Marie Terry & husband, Bob of Moneta, Mary Lee Bryant & husband, Bill of Moneta, Brenda Mae Richardson & husband, Phil of Ocala, FL, Vivian Kay Underwood & husband, David of Goodview, Patricia Sue Ayers of Bedford; his brothers, John Harvey Saul & wife, Lynn of Bedford, Terry Lynn Saul & wife, Deanna of Moneta & his brother-in-law, Nathan Smith of Bedford.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Kyle Dooley officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Land Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
