Obituary of Norma Fay Arthur Witt

Norma Fay Arthur Witt, 76 of Bedford, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born on Thursday, September 12, 1940 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Darlby Arthur and Virgie Comer Arthur. She was retired from General Electric and a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Frank Nelson "Doc" Witt; her son, Marty Nelson Witt & wife, Misty of Bedford; her granddaughter, Cassie Alexis Witt; her brothers, Kenneth Arthur & wife, Betty of Bedford, Wallace Arthur & wife, Catherine, Ray Arthur & wife, Emma of Bedford. A special thanks to Dr. John MacNeill for his kind and caring manner in caring for Fay and his special attention in her last days. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider The American Cancer Society, 2050 Langhorne Road, Suite 201, Lynchburg, VA 24501. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Phillip Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
