While it has been several months, I only just now learned of Lib's death. I was one of her many PKU patients in the very early years of the program. As a child, I was rather spirited, difficult patient and I didn't appreciate her or the impact she had on my life but I certainly do now. It is not an understatement to say I am who I am because of her. She was a lifeline for my parents at a time that was very scary for them. Long after my family moved away, I know they would exchange notes from time to time over the years. She will forever be an angel to them, and to me. I hope knowing how many lives she impacted through her work brings some comfort and peace.

I would like to acknowledge Mrs. Walker's contribution to public health and the Maryland PKU families. She was my first nutritionist in the early days of Maryland's PKU program and was a lifeline for my family in giving me and my sibling the best start in life. I would not be where I am today without her help and dedication to advancing health, and she will forever be in our hearts and has touched many lives. Thank you, Mrs. Walker and peace and comfort to your family.

So sorry, Charlie for the loss of your dear Lib. As college friends & dietitian majors we enjoyed many classes and social events together. I was delighted when I learned that you and Lib had married because you and I were high school friends. Small world! Although I have not seen Lib but just a few times over all these years I have always loved her and her lovely, gentle ways. She will be missed by so many. George and I send our prayers and deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Linda and George Brooks

James and I are so sorry for your loss. We are next door neighbors to the Walkers. We so appreciate your kindness when we moved in next door, Mr. and Mrs. Walker welcomed us with those yummy jars of peanuts.
We will miss seeing Mrs. Walker on her walks around the neighborhood and sitting on the front porch.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Charlie,
I worked with Lib at Poplar Forest as her docent partner until I had to take a leave due to health issues. What a delight it was to be around her. She was so very knowledgeable and such an inspiration. My sincere condolences to you and her family. May God give you comfort and strength as you travel this journey of grief.

I'm remembering with fondness all of the years I served with Lib on the Library Board of Trustees. She was committed to the promotion of the library and showed that through her many years of service on the Board and her participation in many library programs. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this sad time, but know that I carry memories of her in my heart.
