Lora Noel Wood, 82 of Bedford, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born on Monday, August 20, 1934 in Buena Vista, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Baxter Wood.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy W. Williams & husband, John of Bedford, Ruby Gail Ayers & husband, Danny of Glasgow, Norma Jean Ruley of Buena Vista, Connie June Roberts & husband, Michael of Natural Bridge as well as many grandchildren & great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 11:30 AM until 1 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 pm with Rev. Kenneth Kingera officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Land Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
