Elizabeth Eakin Thomas, 97, of Bedford, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. She was born December 8, 1919 in Catawba, a daughter of the late Frank Everett Eakin and Pernie Brillhart Eakin. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Carlton Thomas and her daughter, Jeanne T. Sullivan. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Allen C. and Gail M. Thomas. We would like to extend heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all of the staff and residents at the Elks Home, as well as the Centra Bedford Hospice for all their loving care and friendship. Service was private with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
