I am so sorry to hear about my friend Polly I loved your mom .
Didn't know about your mom passing until today when I was looking at Updike web page. I met you mom and dad when someone told me about them growing a garden and sold there vegetables and gave the money back to the church and also we got to be friends at the YMCA. There vegetables were the best haven't been able to find vegetable to meet up to there's. Tell your dad hello for me hope he remembers me. So sorry I didn't know so I could be there.

I first met Polly at an American Sewing Guild meeting in Lynchburg VA. What a wonderful lady! I loved her sense of humor and I learned so much about sewing from her. She was always willing to help solve our sewing problems and was quick to offer encouragement, even when our projects weren't up to standards. Even after she moved from the Lynchburg area, Polly kept in touch to discuss sewing projects. I always enjoyed being in touch with her and will miss her. Polly touched many lives.
