Cyndi and I received stem cell transplants just 5 days apart at UVA. We both walked in the hallway of the hospital each day and got to know each other. She was a very friendly, faith-filled woman. We promised to pray for each other, and we stayed in touch by texting. I am just now learning of her death in October. My heart is breaking to know this beautiful, inspiring friend is gone. I pray that she is in a better place, free from pain, glowing in the presence of our God. Dale, I met you a couple of times at UVA and am so sorry for you loss.
