Cynthia "Cyndi" Beach Stultz, 63 of Huddleston, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. She was born on Monday, June 16, 1958 in Roanoke, a daughter of the late John Curtis Beach and Nerlee Averneal Grubb Beach. She was a Mortgage Lending Officer with Bank of Botetourt and was a member of Huddleston United Methodist Church where she served as pianist/choir director and member and past treasurer of the United Methodist Women. She was a true Christian woman, a lover of horses, and a person who once you met her she was your friend for life. Cyndi was in the financial industry since 1986 and in residential mortgage lending since 1993. During her tenure in the mortgage industry, she was consistently recognized as a Top Sales Producer in addition to being ranked at the top of the class in customer service. A former member of the board of directors and Chairman of the Board for Blue Ridge Housing Development, she was a past President of the Roanoke Valley Mortgage Bankers Association in addition to being a past Director and Officer of the Virginia Mortgage Bankers Association. She participated in the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtor's Public Relations Committee and was previously named one of VHDA's top producers in the Silver Circle category and also served as a member of the VHDA's Lender's Advisory Board. Cyndi also served on the Board and was Past Chair of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southwest Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Dean A. Stultz; her brothers, John "Stretch" Beach and Sandy Beach; her sister-in-law, Darla Underwood; her brother-in-law, John David Stultz as well as many nieces & nephews. The family respectfully requests no food at the home and while flowers are appreciated, those wishing to make memorials are asked to consider the American Cancer Society, 2015 Langhorne Road, Suite 201, Lynchburg, VA 24501. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. David Bayse and Pastor Jane Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM in Evergreen Burial Park. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
