Obituary of Phyllis Blankenship Tuck Witt

Phyllis Blankenship Tuck Witt, 81 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Saturday, January 27, 1940 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Woodrow Blankenship and Annie Mae Palmer Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon W. Tuck, her second husband, Carl A. Witt, a sister, Carolyn Gresham and her brother, Allen Blankenship. She was retired from Bedford County School System as Secretary at Body Camp Elementary School and was a member of Radford Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Tuck-Keck (William); her sons, Tracy G. Tuck (Robyn), Mark A. Tuck (Nancy); her sister, Mary Alice Colwell; her brothers, Woody, Roy & David Blankenship as well as six granddaughters, Kelli Wray (Eric), Katherine Dickinson (Galen), Anne Kahle (Drew), Kelsey Kennedy (Ryan), Kaitlyn Wood (Carter), Rachel Tuck and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Radford Baptist Church Building Fund, 1293 Radford Church Road, Moneta, VA 24121. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Radford Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 PM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and from 9 until 11 AM on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
