Jackie was a 1963 classmate at ECG, and a close friend for a couple of years at LC. He was a wonderful singer and musician who fronted many fine bands in Lynchburg. He could do "Maggie May" almost as well as Rod Stewart, and he never denied a request for that song when Nancy and I asked for it at parties and reunions! We lost touch in recent years, so I was not aware of his good reputation as a teacher. I am not surprised at that, since Jack was a tender soul who cared about others. My condolences go out to his family at this difficult time. May you rest in peace my friend!

I have known Jack for many years as he taught both of my sons at Boonsboro Elementary.
We attended many Saleen Mustang shows together over the years. Good Times
