Faye Loyd Craghead Obituary
Faye Loyd Craghead, 80 of Moneta, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at her residence. She was born on October 31, 1942 in Roanoke, a daughter of the late George W Loyd, Sr., and Frances Elizabeth Witt Loyd.
She was retired from Bedford County Public Schools serving in several positions, the last being Principal of Liberty High School.
She is survived by her husband, James B. Craghead; her son, Jeffrey B. Craghead & wife, Laurel; her daughter, Courtney C. Carr & husband, Todd; her grandsons, Samuel Jennings Carr, Johnston B. Craghead; her brother, George W. Loyd, Jr. & wife, Cindy as well as her nieces, Ashley, Grace and Kayleigh.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 12:30 on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a graveside service will follow at 1 PM in the Morgans Baptist Church Cemetery.
