Obituary of Rebekah Reba Medlin-Crum

Rebekah Medlin-Crum, 81 of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023.  She was born in Pickens, South Carolina on Tuesday, August 11, 1942, the daughter of the late Walter Medlin & Eva Crain Medlin.

 

Rebekah served in the Army with a 7-year career in the fields of administration and intelligence.  Her final assignment was working with the United States Special Forces Command, Fort Bragg, NC, obtaining the rank of Sergeant E-5 and presentation of the Meritorious Service Medal.  She was baptized in the Jehovah Witness faith while living in Parsonsfield, Maine in 1997 and continued to serve as an active publisher in Bedford, VA, until health conditions prevented her from doing so in 2020.  Rebekah was devoted to her family.  Rebekah married Eric Crum on October 26, 1972, in Manitou Springs, Colorado.

 

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Eric Crum; sole child, Richard Ennis & wife, Holly Larson-Ennis, of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Rose Ennis, Alyssa Massey & husband, Jason Massey; great-grandchildren, Everett Massey & Emma Massey; brother, William Medlin & sister, Marie Medlin.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
