Whenever I think of you, I think of your contagious laugh and smile as well as your love for your family. A devoted wife who stood by her husband in every season as well as a very proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved all of her babies so much and would do anything for them. It’s hard to pick a favorite memory with you, because all of them are my favorite! What a blessing it is to call you friend and a second mother to me who supported me in so many ways especially in my young adult life. For that, I am forever grateful for the ways you have impacted my life. I will always cherish our memories of going on vacation together from Florida to Myrtle Beach to Pittsburgh. I know I’ve shared a memory but, would like to share a few more of my sweet Mama!❤️I’ve had so many tell me over the last month how much I look like you. I’ve not heard that too much in my life but, you know what it’s one of the biggest compliments anyone could give me because you were such a beautiful woman. I look at Samantha some days and see your green eyes looking back at me. I look at Will and I see a young man who love’s you with all his heart and talks about you with so much love in his voice. I look at Andrea and think of how thankful I am that you and daddy gave me a sister. I see Grayson and Dean and my soon to be granddaughter Avery Annalisa Jean and know that while you are no longer hear on earth to spend time with them you will always be watching over them and all of us. I will constantly tell them what a wonderful Grandma you were. I look at Daddy and see a man who has shown us strength and love. As, for me I look at myself and hope that I can be the best Grammie I can be as I will not have you for advice like I had with Samantha and Will. You are so missed and we all will carry you in our hearts and remember all the wonderful memories we have of you! I love you Mama!

I've known Jean since I was a baby. I grew up with her and their family. They went Peaks Baptist where me and my family went to church. I grew up with Andrea her daughter. So many memories I have with Jean over at their house from cook out to mission trips and going to camp. Jist thinking about her I remember her smile and the way she used to laugh. She loved her family so much and she loved the steelers. She always loved the Lord said hi how are you with a smile on her face. I loved having Mike and Jean as my youth pastors growing up and going on mission trips. Those are times very special to me and what they mean to me. I remember one year rooming with Andrea and Jean at covington College one of the places we went to student life camp. She was a great cook. She will be missed by many people but knowing she is with Jesus gives me peace.

I remember Jean and Mike when they were dating. They married and had little Angie and she was the center of their lives and Jean's mother Helen's life. Years later, I got to know Mike and Jean when we attended the same church. She wanted to have another baby and God blessed them with little Andrea. Jean was very dedicated to her girls and every time I saw her, she would share things about them. Later on, we saw her at her granddaughter's ball games. Jean was so proud - all she wanted to talk about was her grandchildren and her family. I know you all will miss her terribly. I am very sorry for your loss. As I told Andrea after Helen passed, it's time to pass along the love and dedication to your family that you've always experienced. Just know you are loved and you're never alone. The best part is, you'll see Jean again - praise God ❤️

Today was my sweet friend Jean's funeral. It's not goodbye, but til we meet again when we stroll over heaven someday. I know we have many more photos, as we vacationed together with our families many times when our children were growing up. She and Mike have always been there for our family in good times and hard ones too. This photo was taken when Jean and I went to Floyd, Virginia to a craft show and we ate lunch at the Floyd Country Store. The second photo of Jean and Mike was taken at the benefit we had for Justin to help raise money for his special hospital bed. Jean and Mike and their family are very special to our family. When I remember my cousin Jean, these are what I most treasure in my heart:
As she was 5 years younger than me, I can remember when she was a baby. What a darling little blonde baby and how very proud Helen and Winston were of her. I especially recall the adoration in "Winna's" eyes when he looked at her -- and saw that same adoration when looking at his grandbaby, Angie.
She was so smart and did exceptionally well in school. You could instantly recognize her intellect just by talking with her on a range of topics -- in later years, telling stories about her children and grandchildren were her favorites!
As I was older, my time in the country was spent with Donna while Jean played with Lee and Deb. Still, occasionally we would allow her to play with us big girls and never Deb or Lee! No siblings allowed but a cousin was admissible from time to time!
As we all got older, I got married and moved wherever the Navy would send us while Jean married the love of her life, Mike and got to remain with family. I watched with interest -- and some chagrin -- while she developed a great love of the Hokies (NO!!!!!!) and the Steelers. I was a die-hard Navy and Virginia fan, but thought it was fun watching her enthusiasm.
I sincerely loved spending time with Jean when I could and just wish we could have made more wonderful memories though the years. I am looking forward til we can have the most wonderful time for eternity when we all gather together in Heaven. My love to all of you and my sincerest sympathies -- I'm so sorry to have to miss this time together and have you all in my prayers.

Although we have only known each other over the last few years we were able to share some of life's most memorable events. You are the woman who raised our amazing daughter-in-law and we were able to share their wedding and the birth of both grand babies and Graysons first birthday. Mom,
It is truly hard to believe that you are no longer here on Earth with us, but I have comfort in knowing you’re in heaven. I know you are no longer suffering or in pain, you are healed. I’m holding close to Gods promises and that I will see you again one day!
I am going to miss so many special things that we shared. I’m going to miss calling you everyday once off of work, FaceTiming you every night to show you the boys, texting and calling nonstop during Steeler games, seeing you rock Grayson, going to the beach, napping with you in the living room, and making our Christmas cookies together. One of my favorite memories is the day that I met Matt, you were the first person I called after I met him and I told you I had just met my future husband. At first you weren’t so sure about that, but then once I told you all about him and you met him, you knew he was the one. These are memories that I will cherish forever and will keep some of these going with dad and the boys. I promise that the boys will always know how much you love them and that you showed them off every chance you got.
Matt and I are so thankful for the support and love you’ve shown us. I couldn’t have made it through a lot of things without you by my side. You are an amazing mama and an amazing grandma. I love you forever!

There are not enough pages in this book to express how much we love you and are going to miss you! My heart breaks that I am not able to pick up the phone to just talk. I’m glad that I had you for the 50 years that I have. There will not be a day that doesn’t go by that I will not think of you. There are so many memories I can choose from, but I can never forget all the support and love I received from my grandma. From being at my games, wedding, to graduations. I know she was there for me no matter what. It’s weird knowing I can’t just ride over to your camper when we’re at the beach to sit with you or just getting those FaceTime calls each night. You were one of a kind grandma and I am incredibly blessed to have had the past 27 years with you as my grandma. AJ will know all about you and I think she’s names after some pretty strong women.
