My dear friend Chico, where do I even begin, you were such a good man! I know you never met a stranger. I will always remember all the Dennis the Mennace comic strips you used to share with me and I think just about everyone else. You always put a smile on my face when I was feeling down. I always felt safe opening the store up in the mornings because you always made sure you were there to make sure we were safe and to also help us get our morning duties done. Thank you for being a wonderful friend and I will always cherish all the memories that you gave me. RIP my friend!

Lenford was wonderful from the first time we met in an attempt to help me locate relatives. I had a picture of him when he was young and he was very handsome. He put me in touch with Sam and even got me a complete copy of all the burials at the Cool Springs Church cemetery. Lenford was one of the gang that hung out in the gazebo at the Big Apple Market. This was another gathering spot for the guys to meet and chat when the weather permitted. Lenford was a good guitar player and would play and sing at the Ruff reunions along with Cecil Ruff, Clayton Orange and Ginny Ruff's children. Sometimes I would catch him there and sit awhile and talk. He was always very willing to help. He has been a warm and caring person and his help will always be appreciated. You will be missed.
