Delia Belle was a fine friend of my father, Tom Chappelle, when he was a boy. My dad lived in a big house across the railroad tracks from the Coffey General Store. There were times that Delia Belle helped him with his homework and he remained grateful to her his entire life. She was certainly a kind lady and I aspire to make a difference in people's lives like she did.
