ERICA.....So sorry for your loss and how they have treated you. I know your daddy loved you the only way he was allowed to, which was always from a distance. Everyone saw today how they really are, even though we have always known. Don't worry I have always considered you my sister and I always will. You have no regrets my dear so don't be sad, your daddy is at peace now and you too will find that peace that you have sought for so long. Don't let today rob you of your joy. Dear Brenda & Tamara, Twila & I were surprised and so sorry to hear of Eugene's sudden passing. Please know that we will hold you in our prayers for peace, comfort and understanding. I still fondly remember the year we coached the girl's Rec Dept. Basketball Team and how much fun it was to share the experience with him. Eugene was a delightful person and I'm sure he will be missed.

I am very sorry for your loss and you all will be in my prayers. I hope the entire family, Brenda, Tamara and Keith, and the other daughter who was apparently not allowed in the family room, can all find resolution and move forward. I can only hope that a situation like that was not what Gene would have wanted. To completely ignore a child at her fathers funeral would not have been what I would have expected from the man I new. I am sure he died with a heavy heart, and can't imagine this would have helped. I will pray daily for the people involved to seek a Christ centered resolution, and find forgiveness. You will be in my prayers though this obviously, very difficult time.

Brenda, Tamara & family: I shall ALWAYS remember Eugene. He ALWAYS had a way about him that had you smiling long after you finished talking with him. He was a grand person and truly adored you guys. And, Lord have mercy, could he light up whenever he talked about that grandchild of his!! We cannot always understand God's plans for us but we can rest assured they are His plans and things do work out the way He wants them to for the better. But, Heavens...it is so hard to see that right now. We love you guys. Take care of each other and tell that little one every day stories of his granddaddy.
