Jim was a good man. I met him many years ago at one of the local shooting clubs and he quickly took me under his wing and taught me the joys of shotgun sports and always took the time to answer any questions I had. Over the course of time we built a good friendship and spent much time shooting, doing range work, and just walking around the land enjoying God's creation.
The first nice shotgun I ever owned I bought from Jim and I believe he felt a bit sympathetic to my financial situation at the time due to the fact he basically gave it to me. I remember the enthusiasm I felt when I received that well worn gun and remember the smile on Jim's face, as if he knew the enjoyment it would bring me over the years.
while I always think of Jim when I pick up that gun the memories will be even more fond as I recall the time we enjoyed together.
May God grant peace to your family and give you the knowledge that you will see him again in eternity.
